Intrepidity
They said
it’s a soul deadening end!
They said it’s the difficult path to tread
They said, “Leave
it or else die”.
But I ignored them wisely.
I focused, I tried and come to a solution:
I’ll never step back remembering those hard slogging days.
My heightened spirits roared like mountain torrents,
And touched the dawn's radiant glow.
I cannot forget the search Britomart did?
I cannot forget what Ulysses taught me?
I cannot forget what my pea-shaped life taught me.
I pledged to stand amidst all hordes.
